High-Level Meeting on the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection

The High-Level Meeting on the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions, co-hosted by the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training Cambodia and the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan, aims to provide a platform for strategic dialogue among Ministers of Labour, alongside representatives of workers’ and employers’ organizations, development partners, international financial institutions, and United Nations agencies. 

Contributing to the agenda of the Global Coalition for Social Justice, of which the Global Accelerator is a key initiative, the meeting will facilitate the exchange of country experiences in advancing integrated approaches to employment and social protection, highlighting progress made by Global Accelerator pathfinder countries while promoting peer learning and the sharing of practical solutions. 

A ministerial roundtable with the Ministers of Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Rwanda and Malawi will examine key challenges, lessons learned and opportunities to strengthen policy coherence, enhance coordination and partnerships, and mobilize financing for national priorities. The discussion will serve to highlight progress, share lessons learned, and strengthen partnerships to advance the objectives of the Global Accelerator.
