World Day of Social Justice 2026

The World Day of Social Justice (WDSJ), observed annually by the United Nations on 20 February, is a global reminder of the urgent need to build fairer, inclusive, and sustainable societies.

The 2026 observance is of particular significance as it follows the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSDD), held in Doha in November 2025 that was marked by a reaffirmation of the importance of tackling poverty, and of advancing decent work and social integration.

For World Day of Social Justice 2026, we must build on the momentum created by the Doha Political Declaration by reaffirming social justice as a shared global priority and emphasizing the urgent need to turn political commitments into meaningful action.

Annual Forum

The Annual Forum of the Global Coalition for Social Justice is the Coalition’s flagship annual gathering, bringing together all partners to provide a high-level, inclusive space to exchange on key social justice challenges, share experiences and identify concrete, collaborative solutions aligned with the Coalition’s objectives.

It serves as a catalyst for collective commitments, peer learning and policy innovation, reinforcing the Coalition’s role as a platform that moves beyond dialogue towards coordinated action and measurable impact.
